No added formaldehyde

Earthwool® insulation made with ECOSE® Technology benefits from a binder which has no added formaldehyde and is based on renewable, bio-based materials instead of traditional petro-based chemicals. The ECOSE® Technology binder is less energy intensive than the formaldehyde binders used in traditional Glasswool insulation.

Why use insulation?

Insulation is a vital component of any house, particularly during the winter months when temperatures drop and heating costs can skyrocket. Insulation works by reducing heat transfer between the inside and outside of a building, effectively creating a barrier to keep warm air inside and cold air outside. This is achieved with low thermal conductivity. Earthwool® insulation trap air molecules within its structure and slow down heat flow. Earthwool® insulation acts as a blanket, keeping heat in and cold out, and thereby reducing the amount of energy needed to maintain a comfortable indoor temperature.
